We need to observe the body shapes and answer the following questions :
- Does the part have a profile that can be obtained by extrusion ?
- Does the piece have one or more planes of symmetry, even incomplete, to make copies by symmetry of all or part of the object ?
- Does the part have coaxial shapes, which can be created by revolution of an outline ?
- Does the part have identical forms, making it possible to make copies by linear network (translation), circular network (rotation) or partial symmetry with respect to a plane ?
may be interesting to perform an extrusion (Pad or Pocket ) on the basis of a more or less complex sketch.
If the piece has a plane of symmetry (total or partial), a copy by symmetry (Mirror ) with respect to a plan of all or part of the piece will certainly be judicious.
If the piece has coaxial shapes (forms of revolution of the same axis), it will probably be interesting to realize a revolution (Revolution or Groove ) on the basis of a more or less complex sketch.
